My Makeup Story

My makeup story began around the age of 13, freshman year of high school. At the time, I recall wanting to look older, more mature and so I would only wear eyeliner and lipgloss, nothing grand. My skills where less than amateur, no where near where I am now. I would say I really got into full face makeup three years ago. It all started when I was unemployed for a couple of months and I went on Youtube to look up something. That's when I came across AndreasChoice, a youtube channel made by a young woman named Andrea whom is around my age who shared her makeup, hair and style tips in tutorial form videos with viewers watching her from all over the world. I remember seeing one of her beauty tutorials and I fell in love with her talent as well as her ambition. From that moment on, I told myself, if she can do it, why can't I? I took it upon myself to learn countless of new makeup and hair techniques from watching other beauty bloggers. I became so inspired by the many young women helping others feel beautiful, which in turn motivated me to start my own YouTube channel called MuchMoreThanBeauty, where I now share my own beauty tips. Over the next three years, I accumulated over 70,000 loyal, caring and supportive subscribers.
What I love about makeup is how you can transform yourself by creating looks that express your style and personality. I am open to all new trends and new makeup of any brand. From high end brands to store brands, I use them all! My current favorites are MAC, Wet N' Wild, NYX, Motives and many others.
If you are a beginner wanting to learn some makeup tips an tricks, I truly recommend you watch beauty gurus on YouTube. There are thousands, upon thousands of women from all ages and all ethnic background sharing their tips on their channels for free including myself. I can honestly say that joining the beauty community on YouTube has changed my life. There are so many supportive, empowering women who help you feel and look beautiful.
